Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ISU203 is a novel monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It functions as an anti-acid sphingomyelinase (ASM) antibody, inhibiting ASM activity and regulating neuroinflammation. This mechanism indirectly inhibits amyloid-beta aggregation in the brain, which is associated with improved cognitive function and reduction of Th17-mediated neuroinflammation. Preclinical studies have shown that ISU203 facilitates removal of amyloid-β plaques and improves cognition in Alzheimer's disease models[1][5]. The drug has received a substance patent registration decision in Taiwan, indicating ongoing development efforts[2].
