Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Isuzinaxib (APX-115) is an orally active, first-in-class pan-NADPH oxidase (NOX) inhibitor developed by AptaBio. It targets multiple NOX isozymes, specifically NOX1, NOX2, and NOX4, to suppress the overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and regulate oxidative stress. By inhibiting NOX-mediated ROS generation, isuzinaxib reduces inflammation and fibrosis, showing therapeutic potential in diabetic kidney disease (diabetic nephropathy), contrast-induced acute kidney injury, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
