Overview
ISV-403 is an ophthalmic formulation developed for the treatment of **bacterial conjunctivitis**. It combines **besifloxacin** (a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic) with InSite Vision's patented **DuraSite** drug delivery system. The formulation contains 0.6% besifloxacin hydrochloride as its active ingredient. Clinical trials, including Phase III studies, have evaluated its safety and efficacy. Pharmacokinetic studies indicate some systemic absorption following topical ocular administration.
