Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**IT-102** is an investigational oral fixed-dose, bi-layer tablet combining **celecoxib** and **lisinopril**. Celecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor intended to provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity, while lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor used to control hypertension. IthenaPharma developed the program before its acquisition by Marina Biotech, subsequently renamed Adhera Therapeutics. The combination was intended for patients with coexisting arthritis and hypertension, with additional development interest in pain, familial adenomatous polyposis, and colorectal cancer. The lisinopril component was intended to improve the tolerability of higher-dose celecoxib treatment by addressing celecoxib-associated edema and cardiovascular risk concerns.
