Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IT-141 is a nanoparticle-based polymeric micelle formulation designed to deliver SN-38, the active metabolite of irinotecan, for cancer therapy. The drug uses triblock copolymers (ITP-101) to encapsulate hydrophobic SN-38 and improve its solubility and pharmacokinetics. IT-141 demonstrates potent in vitro cytotoxicity against a wide range of cancer cell lines and shows superior antitumor activity compared to irinotecan in preclinical models. It achieves higher tumor exposure with reduced toxicity on normal tissues due to its improved delivery system. The primary indication under investigation is solid tumors, including colorectal cancer[1][3][4][5].
