Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ITA018 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by Immunoah Therapeutics that acts as an antagonist of the V-domain Ig suppressor of T cell activation (VISTA). VISTA is an immune checkpoint protein primarily expressed on myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and regulatory T cells (Tregs) within the tumor microenvironment, where it functions to suppress T-cell activation and promote immune evasion. By binding to and neutralizing VISTA, ITA018 is designed to alleviate this immunosuppression and enhance the anti-tumor immune response. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors, potentially as a monotherapy or in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors to overcome resistance to standard PD-1/PD-L1 therapies.
