Overview

The iterative mRNA rabies vaccine is a next-generation prophylactic vaccine developed by Ningbo Rong'an Biological Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of AIM Vaccine. This vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to instruct host cells to produce the rabies virus glycoprotein (G protein), which then triggers the immune system to generate neutralizing antibodies and cellular immunity against the rabies virus. Part of AIM Vaccine's iterative strategy, this candidate is designed to improve upon traditional Vero cell and human diploid cell-based vaccines by offering potentially higher efficacy and more streamlined manufacturing processes. According to the developer's pipeline, the vaccine has reached the approved stage of development.
