ITGB3-pulsed dendritic cell vaccine (ITGB3-DC) is an experimental cancer vaccine consisting of dendritic cells loaded with integrin beta-3 (ITGB3) antigens. Developed at the University of Michigan, this cell-based immunotherapy is designed to stimulate a specific immune response against ITGB3-expressing tumor cells, with a particular focus on targeting melanoma cancer stem cells (CSCs). Preclinical studies in mouse melanoma models have shown that ITGB3-DC can significantly inhibit tumor growth, especially when used in combination with other integrin-targeted vaccines (like ITGB1-DC) or immune checkpoint inhibitors such as anti-PD-L1.
