Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ITL-1634 (Parkinol) is a small molecule dopamine receptor agonist that was developed by ITL Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The compound was designed to target dopamine D2 and D3 receptors to provide symptomatic relief of motor symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, and bradykinesia. By mimicking the action of dopamine in the brain, ITL-1634 aimed to offer a more stable therapeutic effect and potentially reduce the off periods and dyskinesia associated with long-term levodopa use. The drug reached the IND-enabling stage of development in 2011, but no further clinical progress has been reported, and the program is considered inactive.
