Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ITOP1 is a proprietary, off-the-shelf cancer vaccine developed by Infinitopes. It is designed as a multi-epitope precision immunotherapy to prevent recurrence in patients with surgically resectable cancers, initially focusing on oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC). The vaccine uses antigens identified through mass spectrometry-based precision immunomics from primary OAC samples and is delivered via a proprietary vector system. Administered intravenously in a homologous prime-boost regimen before and after surgery (and alongside standard chemotherapy), it aims to elicit broad anti-tumour T-cell responses that target residual cancer cells and prevent disease recurrence. The VISTA study—a first-in-human Phase I/IIa randomized placebo-controlled trial—will evaluate its safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, and impact on recurrence-free survival in OAC patients[2][5][6][7].
