Overview

ITR-411 is a small-molecule antagonist of the estrogen-related receptor alpha (ERRα), an orphan nuclear receptor currently being developed by Iteria Biopharma. ERRα acts as a transcription factor that regulates genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis, metabolic reprogramming, and the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), processes that are critical for the survival and dissemination of cancer cells. High levels of ERRα are often associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes and poor prognosis. By specifically antagonizing this receptor, ITR-411 is designed to disrupt the metabolic adaptations of cancer cells and inhibit metastatic progression. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling phase for the treatment of metastatic solid tumors.
