Overview

iTRAB is a proprietary ophthalmic formulation developed by EyePharma, marketed under the brand name DRAIN drops. It is a topical ocular solution composed of a high concentration of polyphenols (≥2.5%, derived from Perilla frutescens extract) and 0.25% sodium hyaluronate. Designed as an adjuvant treatment for glaucoma, iTRAB specifically targets oxidative stress in the anterior segment of the eye by providing antioxidant protection to ocular cells against free radical damage. The sodium hyaluronate component serves to maintain ocular surface hydration and protect against the secondary effects of chronic pharmacological glaucoma treatments, such as conjunctival hyperemia and ocular discomfort.
