IVACFLU

IVACFLU refers to a series of influenza vaccines developed and manufactured by the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC) in Vietnam. These vaccines are designed to prevent influenza infection by stimulating an immune response against specific influenza virus strains. The product line includes an inactivated whole cell vaccine for Influenza A/H5N1 (IVACFLU-A/H5N1), which is alum-adjuvanted, and seasonal trivalent inactivated split virion vaccines (IVACFLU-S) that target common influenza strains such as A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B. The vaccines are produced using embryonated chicken eggs and are inactivated with formaldehyde. Clinical trials have demonstrated their safety and immunogenicity in healthy adults and other age groups.
