Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVACFLU-S is a seasonal, trivalent, inactivated, split virion influenza vaccine developed in Vietnam. It contains three influenza strains (A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B) grown in embryonated chicken eggs. The vaccine was developed under the WHO's Global Action Plan for influenza vaccines through collaboration between the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC) in Vietnam and the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH). Clinical trials have demonstrated that IVACFLU-S is safe, well-tolerated, and induces strong immune responses in adults aged 18-60 years.
