Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVB-mAb is a monoclonal antibody developed by IDBiologics for the treatment and prevention of seasonal influenza B. It is specifically engineered to neutralize both the Victoria and Yamagata lineages of the Influenza B virus (IBV). The antibody is a key component of IDBiologics' Pan-Influenza program, which aims to provide comprehensive coverage against seasonal and pandemic influenza by combining IVB-mAb with IVA-mAb (an anti-Influenza A antibody). By binding to viral surface proteins, IVB-mAb prevents the virus from entering host cells, thereby neutralizing the infection and potentially reducing disease severity in infected individuals.
