Overview

IVB302 is a preclinical adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy being developed by InnoVec Biotherapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). The therapy employs an AAV vector to deliver genes encoding neurotrophins—a family of proteins critical for the survival, development, and function of neurons—directly to the central nervous system. In Parkinson's disease and MSA, specific neuronal populations undergo progressive degeneration; IVB302 aims to provide sustained expression of these growth factors to promote neuronal health, halt disease progression, and restore lost motor function. The therapy leverages InnoVec's proprietary AAV engineering platform for optimized delivery to nervous system tissues.
