Overview

IVB305 is an investigational adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapy being developed by InnoVec Biotherapeutics for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The therapy is designed to modulate pathological liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) processes, which are increasingly recognized as critical biophysical drivers in the aggregation of neurotoxic proteins such as tau and amyloid-beta. By delivering genetic material intended to regulate these phase separation pathways, IVB305 aims to prevent or reverse the formation of insoluble protein aggregates in the central nervous system, thereby preserving neuronal function and slowing disease progression. The program is currently in the early discovery and preclinical stages of development.
