Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVF-M HP is a highly purified preparation of human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) developed by LG Chem. It is composed of human follicle-stimulating hormone (hFSH) and human luteinizing hormone (hLH) in a 1:1 ratio, extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women and refined to remove extraneous proteins. The drug acts as an agonist for both the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) and the luteinizing hormone/choriogonadotropin receptor (LHCGR). By stimulating these receptors on the ovarian granulosa and theca cells, IVF-M HP promotes the recruitment, development, and maturation of multiple ovarian follicles. It is primarily indicated for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (IVF-ET).
