Overview
IVHFc is a recombinant hexameric hybrid Fc fusion protein developed by JN Biosciences (JN Group). It is designed to target the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which plays a critical role in the recycling and maintenance of immunoglobulin G (IgG) levels in the blood. By binding to FcRn, IVHFc acts as an antagonist that blocks the recycling of pathogenic IgG antibodies, thereby accelerating their clearance and reducing their systemic concentration. This mechanism is intended to treat various immune-mediated and pathogenic IgG antibody-mediated disorders, potentially serving as a more potent or convenient alternative to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
