Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVIg-SN 10% is a modern intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) product formulated as a sterile, highly purified, concentrated solution containing human immunoglobulin G (IgG) at a concentration of 10%. It is derived from pooled plasma collected from healthy donors and undergoes multiple pathogen elimination steps to ensure safety. The primary mechanism of action is passive immunity—supplying exogenous IgG antibodies that neutralize pathogens and modulate immune responses. This product is indicated for the prevention of infections in patients with primary immunodeficiency (PID), among other uses typical for IVIG products such as immune thrombocytopenic purpura and Kawasaki syndrome. Clinical studies have demonstrated that IVIg-SN 10% effectively maintains protective IgG levels in PID patients, reduces infection rates, and has a favorable safety profile with mostly mild adverse events[5][7].
