IVL3004

IVL3004 is a novel long-acting injectable formulation of naltrexone, developed using a proprietary microsphere (IVL-Drugfluidic) technology platform. It is designed to provide sustained release of naltrexone over an extended period, aiming to improve pharmacokinetic and safety profiles compared to existing long-acting injectable formulations such as Vivitrol. The primary mechanism of action is opioid receptor antagonism, which blocks the effects of opioids and reduces alcohol cravings. IVL3004 is being developed for the treatment of alcohol dependence and opioid dependence. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials evaluating its pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability in healthy male subjects[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
