Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVL3008 is a long-acting injectable peptide formulation developed by Inventage Lab, currently in preclinical development for the treatment of prostate cancer and central precocious puberty. Utilizing the company's proprietary IVL-DrugFlow microsphere technology, IVL3008 is designed to provide sustained release of a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor agonist. By continuously stimulating the GnRH receptor in the pituitary gland, the drug eventually causes receptor downregulation, leading to the suppression of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion. This results in the reduction of testosterone levels in men (chemical castration) and sex steroid levels in children, addressing the underlying drivers of prostate cancer and premature puberty, respectively.
