Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVMED-10 is a bioerodible, dexamethasone-releasing implant developed by iVeena Delivery Systems for intracapsular placement during cataract surgery. The product is designed to provide sustained release of dexamethasone, a potent corticosteroid, directly into the eye to manage post-operative pain and inflammation. By utilizing a proprietary drug delivery platform, IVMED-10 aims to eliminate the need for patient-administered anti-inflammatory eye drops following routine cataract extractions, thereby improving adherence and therapeutic outcomes. Pilot clinical trials have indicated that the implant is safe and effective, with results comparable to the current standard of care.
