Overview

Ivonescimab is a first-in-class, humanized tetravalent bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both programmed death-1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). By simultaneously blocking PD-1-mediated immunosuppression and VEGF-driven angiogenesis in the tumor microenvironment, ivonescimab aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses and inhibit tumor vascularization. It is approved in China for use in combination with pemetrexed and carboplatin for EGFR-mutated locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has progressed after tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy. The drug is under investigation globally for various solid tumors, especially NSCLC[2][3][6].
