Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ivonescimab + docetaxel is a combination therapy consisting of **ivonescimab**, a first-in-class humanized IgG1 bispecific antibody that targets both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and **docetaxel**, a microtubule inhibitor. Ivonescimab inhibits PD-1-mediated immunosuppression and blocks tumor angiogenesis by targeting VEGF, thereby promoting anti-tumor immune activity and reducing tumor vascularization. Docetaxel interferes with microtubule function during cell division, leading to cancer cell death. This combination is under investigation for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has progressed after PD-(L)1 inhibitor-based therapy, and has received Breakthrough Therapy Designation in China for immunotherapy-resistant NSCLC[2][3][4][5][7].
