Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IVX-055 is an oncolytic immunotherapy being developed by ImmVirX Pty Ltd for the treatment of bladder cancer. It is a self-amplifying, non-enveloped, single-positive-stranded RNA virus designed to selectively infect, replicate within, and destroy tumor cells. This process not only causes direct oncolysis but also induces a systemic anti-tumor immune response by altering the tumor microenvironment. IVX-055 is part of ImmVirX's proprietary platform that utilizes receptor-targeted RNA viruses to preferentially target cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. As of early 2025, the drug is in preclinical development with plans to enter clinical trials.
