IxCell hUC-MSC-P is a human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (hUC-MSC) therapy developed by Shanghai IxCell Biotechnology for the treatment of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD), including systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD). As a cell-based biologic, it functions through potent immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory mechanisms, including the inhibition of T cell proliferation and the suppression of monocyte, macrophage, and dendritic cell maturation. Additionally, these cells secrete bioactive molecules that promote tissue repair and regeneration. The therapy is administered as a single intravenous injection and is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with CTD-ILD.
