Ixekizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a cytokine involved in inflammatory processes. It is used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Developed by Eli Lilly, ixekizumab works by inhibiting IL-17A, thereby reducing inflammation and improving symptoms in autoimmune diseases.
