JadiCell is an investigational cell therapy composed of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the lining of human umbilical cords. These "universal donor" MSCs are engineered and expanded to enhance their therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and regenerative effects. JadiCell is being developed primarily for the treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), including ARDS associated with COVID-19, as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Preclinical and clinical studies have shown that JadiCells outperform other types of stem cells in reducing lung injury and improving survival in severe respiratory conditions. The mechanism of action involves modulation of immune responses—particularly through regulatory B-cells—and secretion of anti-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-35 (IL-35), contributing to tissue repair and reduced inflammation[1][4][5][6].
