Overview

JAM-A siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of Junctional Adhesion Molecule-A (JAM-A), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily found at intercellular junctions. In preclinical studies, particularly in endometrial cancer, JAM-A has been identified as a novel tumor antigen overexpressed in cancer cells compared to normal tissue. Treatment with JAM-A siRNA has been shown to dramatically inhibit endometrial cancer cell proliferation by inducing cell cycle arrest. This research was primarily conducted by investigators at the National Institute of Biomedical Innovation, Niigata University, and Osaka University in Japan.
