Overview

JAN123 is a novel, patent-pending, extended-release formulation of low-dose naltrexone (LDN) being developed for the treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Originally developed by Soin Therapeutics and acquired by JanOne in 2022, the drug aims to provide a non-addictive alternative for chronic pain management, addressing the opioid crisis. JAN123 has received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for CRPS. The mechanism involves the modulation of glial cells and the antagonism of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which helps reduce neuroinflammation and central sensitization associated with CRPS.
