Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JCI MN Colloidal Iodine Solution is a colloidal iodine water-based solution developed by JCI Colloidal Iodine Laboratory for a broad set of claimed indications including various cancers, angiopathy, autoimmune diseases, allergies, viral diseases, cerebropathy, diabetes, kidney disease, and other intractable diseases. The active ingredient is iodine in colloidal form, reported at 12.2 mg/mL in oral or intravenous formulations, and related JCI products are also described for inhalation and ophthalmic use. Its mechanism is not defined through a validated molecular target; instead, the sponsor describes a biomodulatory effect in which colloidal iodine directly administered to the body \"activates normal cells,\" with high absorption, rapid excretion of unused iodine, limited side effects, and no reported resistance. The product appears to be marketed or approved within Sri Lankan Ayurvedic practice rather than as a conventional pharmaceutical approval in Japan.
