Overview

JCXH-213 is a first-in-class, mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) based in vivo chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapy designed for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, specifically relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Unlike conventional ex vivo CAR-T therapies that require extraction and genetic modification of patient cells outside the body, JCXH-213 delivers CAR-encoding mRNA directly to immune cells—including T cells, NK cells, and macrophages—within the patient using a proprietary targeted lipid complex nanoparticle system. This enables these immune cells to assemble functional CAR complexes internally and mount an anti-tumor response. The in vivo approach aims to overcome limitations of traditional CAR-T therapies such as complex manufacturing processes, high costs, long wait times for patients, and risks associated with genomic integration. If successful in clinical trials, this technology could transform cancer immunotherapy by making it more accessible and potentially extend its application to autoimmune diseases[6][4][7].
