Overview

JEL0305 is a synthetic peptide drug candidate developed by Carocell Bio for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases, primarily atopic dermatitis (eczema). It acts as a next-generation anti-inflammatory agent by inhibiting mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase pathways, specifically targeting p38 MAP kinase. This mechanism reduces inflammation and may help prevent recurrence of atopic dermatitis, with additional potential to delay skin ageing. The drug has shown efficacy in preclinical studies using human tissue biopsies from patients with inflammatory conditions such as atopic dermatitis and burns. As of early 2025, its highest development status is in the discovery phase[1][2][3][7][8].
