Overview
JETKNEE is a synovial fluid supplement developed by SciVision Biotech Inc. for the treatment of pain and activity limitation in patients with knee osteoarthritis. It consists of a 2% crosslinked hyaluronic acid gel derived from microbial fermentation, combined with mannitol. Mannitol serves as an antioxidant to inhibit the degradation of the hyaluronic acid by free radicals, thereby extending the duration of the therapeutic effect. The product is administered via intra-articular injection to restore the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid, providing lubrication and shock absorption to the joint. It is typically indicated for patients who have failed to respond to conservative non-pharmacologic therapies or simple analgesics.
