Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JHG002 is a purified Hominis placenta extract developed by the Jaseng Medical Foundation for the treatment of chronic low back pain. It is administered via pharmacopuncture, a therapeutic technique in Korean medicine that combines acupuncture with the injection of herbal or biological extracts into specific acupuncture points. The extract is traditionally used to support vitality, alleviate chronic pain, and promote functional recovery. JHG002 is currently being investigated in multicenter randomized controlled trials to evaluate its clinical effectiveness and safety compared to conventional non-invasive treatments like transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).
