Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiajian Guipi Tang is a modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction derived from the classic Guipi Tang formula. It is a complex mixture of botanical ingredients, typically including Codonopsis, Astragalus, Angelica, fried Atractylodes rhizome, Fu Shen (Poria cocos with pine root), longan meat, Zhizhi, and sour jujube kernel. The formulation is traditionally used to nourish the heart and spleen, calm the mind, and regulate qi. In clinical research, it has been studied for its ability to improve depressive symptoms and sleep quality, often in combination with standard antidepressants like escitalopram. Additionally, it is being investigated for its potential to improve language function in children with cblC type methylmalonic aciduria.
