Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiajian Jinye decoction (also known as Jiajian Jinye Tang) is a modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula based on the classic "Jinye Tang" (Increase Fluids Decoction). It is primarily developed and investigated by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for the management of postoperative dry eye in patients who have undergone cataract surgery. The treatment is typically administered via herbal fumigation, where the steam from the decoction is applied to the eyes to nourish "Yin," generate fluids, and reduce inflammatory factors in the tear film. By improving tear film stability and reducing ocular surface inflammation, the decoction aims to provide clearer and more comfortable vision for postoperative patients.
