Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiajian Jinye Tang (加减金液汤) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula, understood as a modified version of Zengye Tang (增液汤, Humor-Increasing Decoction). The original Zengye Tang is composed of Xuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix), and Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix). Its primary functions are to nourish yin, clear heat, moisten the intestines, and promote bowel movements. It is traditionally indicated for conditions characterized by yin deficiency and fluid depletion, often seen in febrile diseases, leading to symptoms such as thirst, dry mouth, and constipation. The "Jiajian" (加减) aspect signifies that additional herbs may be included or some original herbs adjusted to tailor the formula to specific patient needs or variations of the condition.
