Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiajian Wumei Wan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical formulation that serves as a modification of the classical 2nd-century remedy Wumei Wan (Dark Plum Pill) from the *Shanghan lun* (Treatise on Disorders Caused by Cold). Marketed under the brand name Serpent Pearls by Classical Pearls, the formula contains a complex mixture of herbs including *Prunus mume*, *Coptis chinensis*, *Glehnia littoralis*, and *Zingiber officinale*, among others. It is traditionally used to treat chronic, complex disorders characterized by "heat above and cold below," including digestive, metabolic, and mental-emotional conditions. In clinical research, it has been investigated for its preventive and therapeutic effects on colorectal adenoma recurrence following endoscopic treatment.
