Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jian Pi Li Gan Decoction is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine (TCM) formula used as an adjuvant therapy for patients with nonresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following radiofrequency ablation (RFA). The decoction is composed of ten specific herbal ingredients, including Radix Codonopsis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, and Poria Cocos, formulated to 'strengthen the spleen' and 'regulate the liver' according to TCM principles. Clinical retrospective data indicates that the combination of this decoction with RFA significantly improves overall survival and intrahepatic relapse-free survival compared to RFA alone. It has also been shown to reduce the incidence of liver failure (Child-Pugh class C) and increase the success rate of the ablation treatment.
