Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jianer Qingjie Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical formulation developed for pediatric use. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infections (AURTI) in children and adolescents, specifically targeting the TCM pattern of wind-heat with internal stagnation (风热夹滞证). The formulation typically consists of several herbal extracts, including Lonicera japonica (honeysuckle), Forsythia suspensa, and Hawthorn, which are traditionally used to clear heat, detoxify the body, and resolve food stagnation. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in managing respiratory symptoms and associated digestive disharmony in the pediatric population.
