Overview
Jianpi Huatan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula used primarily in the form of a decoction or granule. It is widely prescribed for the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC), particularly to reduce recurrence and metastasis after radical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy in stage III and high-risk stage II CRC patients. Clinical studies suggest it may also be effective for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in children, with no observable toxic side effects reported. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated but is believed to involve modulation of immune function, improvement of metabolic indices, reduction of inflammation, and enhancement of overall quality of life post-chemotherapy[1][3][4][5].
