Overview

Jianpi Shenshi Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed to treat gout and gouty tophi in patients presenting with the "Spleen Deficiency and Dampness" syndrome type. According to TCM principles, the granule works by strengthening the spleen's transformative function and promoting the excretion of dampness, which is believed to address the underlying metabolic imbalances leading to uric acid crystal deposition. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing tophus size and managing gout symptoms.
