Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jianpi Tongluo Jiedu is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herbal formula used primarily for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis and related gastrointestinal disorders. It is also studied for its effects in other chronic diseases. The formula typically consists of several herbal components designed to "strengthen the spleen," "unblock collaterals," and "detoxify" according to TCM theory. Mechanistically, preclinical studies suggest that it may promote apoptosis via modulation of the nuclear factor-kappaB transcription factor P65 (NF-κBp65)/cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)/B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) pathway and regulate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. These actions are believed to contribute to its therapeutic effects on gastric mucosal atrophy and inflammation[3]. Clinical trials have evaluated its efficacy and safety in chronic atrophic gastritis[2][3].
