Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jianpi Yangzheng Xiaozheng is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Yangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of gastric cancer. The formula is designed to address the TCM patterns of spleen deficiency and Zheng Qi (vital energy) depletion, which are commonly observed in cancer patients. It is primarily used as an adjuvant therapy to conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and surgery to improve clinical outcomes, reduce toxicity, and enhance the immune function of patients. Pharmacological studies indicate that the formula may exert anti-tumor effects by inhibiting angiogenesis through the downregulation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and promoting tumor cell apoptosis by modulating the Bax/Bcl-2 signaling pathway.
