Overview
Jianpi Yangzheng Xiaozheng formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal composition developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM) specifically for the treatment of gastric cancer. The formula is designed based on the TCM principles of strengthening the spleen (Jianpi), nourishing vital energy (Yangzheng), and resolving masses (Xiaozheng) to combat tumor progression. It is frequently utilized as an adjuvant therapy to enhance the efficacy of conventional chemotherapy, reduce treatment-related toxicity, and improve the overall survival and quality of life for patients with advanced gastric cancer. Mechanistically, the formula exerts anti-tumor effects by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR and Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathways, suppressing epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and modulating the tumor immune microenvironment to enhance T-cell activity.
