Jianpi Yifei Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of bulbar paralysis in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The formula is designed based on the TCM principles of "strengthening the spleen and benefiting the lung" to address the underlying deficiencies associated with motor neuron degeneration. In clinical trials, it has been evaluated as an adjunctive or alternative therapy to Riluzole to improve swallowing and speech functions in ALS patients.
