Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jianpi Yishen Qinghua Heluo Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD), particularly in patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of spleen-kidney qi deficiency accompanied by dampness-heat stasis. The decoction is designed to strengthen the spleen, tonify the kidney, clear damp-heat, and harmonize the renal collaterals. In clinical practice, it is often evaluated as an adjunctive therapy to standard treatments like SGLT2 inhibitors (e.g., empagliflozin) to improve renal outcomes such as albuminuria reduction and stabilization of the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
