Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jianpiqushijiedutongluo decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang’anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of drug-resistant (refractory) Helicobacter pylori infection. The formula is designed based on the TCM principles of strengthening the spleen (Jianpi), eliminating dampness (Qushi), detoxifying (Jiedu), and unblocking the collaterals (Tongluo). It is typically used as an adjuvant therapy to improve eradication rates in patients who have failed multiple rounds of conventional antibiotic treatment. The decoction aims to modulate the gastric microenvironment, enhance mucosal immunity, and exert direct or indirect inhibitory effects on H. pylori strains, potentially reducing antibiotic resistance and promoting the healing of the gastric mucosa.
